The Capitol Hotel Tokyu is located in the Akasaka district, the heart of downtown Tokyo, with easy access to the city's shopping and dining areas. A subway station with connection to four lines is located beneath the hotel. The property was opened as a Hilton in 1963, and hosted many famous guests including The Beatles in 1966. The old hotel was demolished and then rebuilt in 2011, but a number of features have been retained. There are 251 rooms, including 13 suites, all designed in sophisticated contemporary Japanese style featuring shoji paper screen room dividers, which open to reveal magnificent vistas even from the bathroom. Hotel facilities include three restaurants, a bar, cafe, fitness centre and spa. Wireless internet access is complimentary throughout the hotel.
