The Tamahan Ryokan is a traditional ryokan located in the historic Gion district of Kyoto. Originally the summer home of a stock trader who lived in Osaka, the Tamahan first opened for business in 1929 as an ryokan specialising in Kaiseki Cuisine. The ryokan has continued this tradition, and today still serves high quality traditional Japanese cuisine. There are 11 traditional Japanese-style rooms, some of which have private gardens.
