The Izuyasu Ryokan is a Japanese-style inn that has welcomed guests since 1839, when it was established to receive the Buddhist priests and travellers who came to worship at the Higashi-Hongan-ji Temple opposite. It has a convenient location for modern day travellers as well, being only eight minutes walk from JR Kyoto Station. As is the custom at a traditional ryokan, dinner and breakfast are served in your room, and there are no en suite facilities, with communal bathrooms instead that are divided by gender. Features: 8 rooms; courtyard garden; onsen bath for private use; Wi-Fi. Room amenities: Futon bed; tatami mat flooring; shoji paper screens, air conditioning.
