Day 1: Fly to Bangkok


Days 2-3: Bangkok

Arrive and transfer to the Rembrandt Hotel for a 2-night stay. Explore Bangkok with visits to Wat Pho, the Grand Palace and a boat tour along the cities klongs (canals). (B)

Day 4: Sukhothai

Drive north via Sam Chook market to Supanburi and visit Wat Pa Lelai. Stay 2 nights at the Sukhothai Treasure Resort & Spa. (B, L)

Day 5: Sukhothai

Full-day tour of the Sukhothai Historical Park, local markets and craft shops. (B, L)

Day 6: Hpa An

Begin a journey that was unimaginable a few years ago: crossing the border from Thailand to Burma (Myanmar). Once in Burma, continue to Hpa An, and stay 2 nights at the Hpa An Lodge. (B)

Day 7: Hpa An

Visit the busy morning market, then drive to Mount Zwekabin where there is the option to climb to the peak for some superb views. Afternoon tour to the village of Lakkhana, where you can visit the Sadan caves. (B)

Day 8: Moulmein

Drive to Moulmein via the villages of Kawhnat and its beautiful temples. On arrival in Moulmein check into The Strand Hotel for 2 nights, followed by a guided tour of the city including Kipling’s Pagoda. (B)

Day 9: Moulmein

Early morning visit to the Zyegyi market, then take the ferry to Bilu island to visit the local villages here. (B, L)

Day 10: Kyaikhtiyo

Drive to Kyaikhtiyo to visit the Golden Rock temple. Overnight at the Mountain Top Hotel. (B)

Day 11: Rangoon

Another chance to visit the Golden Rock temple and other stupas and shrines in Kyaikhtiyo, then head north to Bago to see the 1,000-year-old Shwemawdaw pagoda and the 55-metre-long Shwe Tha Lyaung Buddha. Afternoon arrival into Rangoon (Yangon), then stay at the Chatrium Hotel for 2 nights. (B, L)

Day 12: Rangoon

Full-day tour of Rangoon including the Shwedagon pagoda. (B)

Day 13: Fly home
