The M/S Juno is the world's oldest registered ship with overnight accommodation. It was built at the Motala shipyard and launched in 1874. There are 29 cabins, each of which are tastefully decorated with a classical design and brass features. All of the cabins feature bunk beds and contain a washstand with a basin offering hot and cold water. Shared shower and toilet facilities are located on each deck. The cabins on the shelter and bridge decks open onto the deck. There is a restaurant serving traditional Swedish cuisine and a lounge area.
Located right next to the central train station, the old central post office on Drottningtorget in Gothenburg is an impressive, much-appreciated public building and has been converted into this first class modern hotel which opened in January 2012. First designed by Ernst Torulf, it is a typical 1920s building in neo-classical style and has been designated an historical building by the Swedish State.
