Fly from London to Madrid. Pick up your hire car at the airport and drive to Haro, stopping en route to visit a winery in Aranada de Duero, which is at the heart of the Ribera del Duero wine production. Continue to Haro and stay for 2 nights at the Los Agustinos. (N)
Full day at leisure to explore the surrounding region. Visits are included to two wineries today which will showcase the traditional and modern techniques of wine producing. (B, L)
Morning drive to Bilbao, stopping en route to visit the Marques de Riscal winery, which has been designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry. Stay overnight at the NH Villa de Bilbao. (B)
