The Hotel Neri is located in the heart of Barcelona's gothic quarter. The property was built by joining two buildings, a medieval palace and a stone building that was partially destroyed during the Civil War and renovated in 1958. The hotel features a façade looking onto the Plaza Sant Felip Neri and a 12th-century stone wall, perfectly visible today, separating the restaurant area from the lounge bar. During the renovation of the hotel, a Roman site and Phoenician ceramics were found under the two buildings, which was documented by a team of archaeologists and the artefacts handed over to National Heritage. The hotel's rooms are styled by interior designer Cristina Gabás to combine the modern and the historic.
