Opened in 2009, the Radisson Sonya Hotel, St Petersburg is a design hotel styled by Swedish design company, Stylt Trampoli AB to reflect the fiction of Russian author Fyodor Dostoyevsky. Each of the guest room doors feature a plaque with a quotation from his novels in Russian and English, while the writing desks are contemporary replicas of Dostoyevsky's own desk. The carpets in the room corridors are patterned with further text from the books, while the walls feature photos from specific landmarks in St. Petersburg named in the novels. Guests can dine at the Metamorfos restaurant, which contains numerous design references to Dostoyevsky. Features: 173 rooms & suites, 2 restaurants, bar, fitness centre, hammam.
