From Oslo, drive west into the stunning Hardanger region and visit Lofthus, then
head to Hanseatic Bergen, visiting the Unesco-protected Bryggen. Travel on the Flåm railway, one of the world’s most picturesque train routes, and take a cruise on the Naeroyfjord and Sognefjord, before continuing past the Jostedal glacier and into the mountains via Loen and Grotli.

Fly to Oslo and collect your hire car. Time at
leisure to explore Oslo. Stay overnight at the
Comfort Hotel Børsparken (or similar). (N)
Drive west along the charming Halling valley,
via Geilo, before crossing the wild Hardanger
mountain plateau to Fossl. Continue to
Lofthus, via the Mabodal canyon. Overnight at Hotel Ullensvang (or similar). (B, D)
Drive west and take the ferry between
Kinsarvik and Kvanndal before driving along
the beautiful Hardangerfjord. In Bergen, we
recommend taking the funicular up Mount
Floien for views over the city. Stay overnight
at the Augustin Hotel (or similar). (B)
Drive to the town of Voss before descending
the Naeroy valley to Flåm. Board the Flåm
railway to Myrdal for stunning views across
the valley. Return to Flåm and drive to
Gudvangen, where you will board a boat and
cruise along the Naeroyfjord. Overnight at
the Sognefjord Hotel (or similar). (B)
Head north towards Loen, passing the Jostedal
glacier before descending into the stunning
Nordfjord. Make a detour at Olden and visit
the famous Briksdal glacial. Overnight at the
Loenfjord Hotel (or similar). (B, D)
Drive to the picturesque village of Hellesylt. Board a ferry and cruise along the
Geirangerfjord. Overnight at Hotel Geiranger
(or similar). (B, D)
Return to Oslo, driving via the renowned
Serpentine road, passing Lake Vaga and
Lillehammer. Continue to Oslo, via Lake
Mjosa. Overnight at the Holmenkollen Park
