Sciacca The town of Sciacca is located on the southwestern coast of Sicily, in the province of Agrigento. Its history can be traced back to the 5th century BC but the city came into prominence with the Saracen invasions in the 9th century and the Norman conquests in the Middle Ages. Today it is a thriving tourist city renowned for its views over the Mediterranean and for the the February Carnevale, which is famous throughout Italy.
