Noto holidays

Located around 40km southwest of Syracuse, the Unesco-listed town of Noto is renowned for its baroque architecture and is regarded as one of Sicily’s ‘must see’ attractions. A highlight of the city is the Corso Vittorio Emanuele, an elegant walkway flanked by stunning baroque palazzi and churches. The centrepiece of the main square is the Cathedral of San Nicolò, built in 1776 and extensively renovated after the roof collapsed in an earthquake in 1996. It is considered one of the finest baroque cathedrals in Italy, if not the world.
