Named after the circular nature of the bay on which it was built, Porto Rotondo sits 13 km north of Olbia. Its picturesque beaches and tranquil atmosphere make it a popular destination on the Costa Smeralda. Originally a tiny port, the town was transformed in the 1960s by a wealthy Italian aristocrat, Dona dalle Rose, into a haven for VIPs and royalty from across Europe.
