Fly to Keflavik airport. Transfer from the airport
to Reykjavik by Flybus coach (shared transfer).
En route, you will have the opportunity to
visit the Blue Lagoon, where you can take a dip
in the geothermal waters in the middle
of a lava field (additional charge). Stay 4 nights
at Hotel Reykjavik Natura (or similar). (N)
Full-day guided shared coach tour of the
Golden Circle, taking in three of Iceland's most
spectacular natural wonders: the plunging
waters of Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir geothermal
area and Thingvellir National Park, which lies
in a rift valley between the North American
and Eurasian tectonic plates. Continue to the
Fontana Geothermal Baths, where the original
sauna was built in the 1920s above the hot
springs. Today this is a modern complex with a
variety of hot tubs and steam baths. (B)
Spend the day taking advantage of your
included Reykjavik Welcome Card: visit a
selection of museums and galleries, use the
free unlimited bus within the Reykjavik area or
take a free ferry to Videy island, with its ancient
ruins and extensive walking and bike trails. (B)
