Standard Private Tour in brief

Day 1: Fly to Reykjavik • Hveragerdi

Fly to Keflavik International airport. Pick up your hire car and drive to the town of Hveragerdi. Overnight at Hotel Örk (or similar). (N)

Day 2: Gullfoss • Geysir • Thingvellir • Borgarnes • Reykholt

Morning drive to Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir hot spring area. Continue to Thingvellir National Park. Drive along the scenic Hvalfjordur to Bjarteyjarsandur, a working horse and sheep farm. Visit the Settlement Centre at Borgarnes then continue to Reykholt and stay at the Fosshotel Reykholt for 1 night. (B)

Day 3: Hraunfossar • Haafell Goat Farm • Saelingsdalur

Drive through Borgarfjordur to Hraunfossar, a fascinating series of waterfalls, then visit Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring. On your westward route, stop at a dairy farm and visit Haafell goat farm. Continue to the Laugar Hotel Edda (or similar) in Saelingsdalur for 1 night (Family or double rooms). (B)

Day 4: Eiriksstadir • Stykkisholmur

Drive along the coastal route to the town of Stykkisholmur with a detour to Eiriksstadir to see a replica Viking longhouse. Explore Stykkisholmur town centre or join a boat tour on Breidafjordur Bay. Stay at the Fosshotel Stykkisholmur in Stykkisholmur for 1 night. (B)

Days 5: Snaefellsnes peninsula • Reykjavik

Drive to the Snaefellsnes peninsula, making a stop at a shark museum. Continue to the coast to see the seal colonies. Drive to Reykjavik and overnight at the Reykjavik Natura Icelandair Hotel (or similar). (B)

Day 6: Fly home

Drive to Keflavik airport and return your hire car. Fly home. (B)
