Hofn holidays

Hofn is the second largest fishing town in south-eastern Iceland with a population of around 1,600 people. The town is set on a peninsula with the sea on three sides, while, from the town centre, there are views of the Vatnajokull glacial ice cap, the largest in Europe. The area’s other major source of income is tourism with the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon only an hour’s drive away and museums such as the Glacier and Folk museums, open seasonally, located in the town itself.
