Hotel Arctic is one of the world's most northerly hotels, located to the north of the town of Ilulissat, Greenland, on the road to Ilulissat airport. The mouth of the Unesco world heritage site of Ilulissat Icefjord is located 2.7 km north of the hotel. Owned by Air Greenland, the hotel was built shortly after the airport was opened in 1984 to accommodate the airline's passengers. The property offers 87 en suite rooms featuring Scandinavian decor, wooden floors and artwork by Greenlandic artists as well as five aluminium igloos equipped with modern conveniences, featuring views of the Ice Bank, Disko Bay or the town of Ilulissat. The hotel's main restaurant, Ulo, serves a variety of Greenlandic specialities and international cuisine, and affords stunning views over the harbour to Disko Bay. The hotel also has Café Ferdinand, which serves lighter meals throughout the day.
