Naxos holidays

The largest island in the Cyclades archipelago, Naxos offers excellent walking and hiking opportunities with its rugged hills, attractive whitewashed villages and olive groves. However, the island’s main attraction is arguably the long-stretching sandy beaches on its southwest coast. The island has a rich history, with Venetian and Byzantine rulers. The main town of Hora offers a pretty waterfront with a web of cobbled streets behind, and is the perfect place to try some of the excellent locally produced wine and cheese, as well freshly-caught fish, straight off the boat.
