Dubrovnik & Kotor
Itinerary
Fly to Dubrovnik, Croatia
Morning flight to Dubrovnik and transfer to the Hotel Excelsior for a 4-night stay. The recently renovated hotel is one of the city’s most prestigious, spanning a historic villa and a late 20th-century building, offering views across the Adriatic to the old town. The views can be enjoyed from one of the large terraces or from any of the upgraded room categories (please enquire for prices). (N)

Dubrovnik
Day at leisure to explore Dubrovnik, the jewel in the crown of Croatia’s Dalmatian coast. A museum in its own right, the old town is a twisting maze of narrow terraced allies encircled by colossal fortifications. Spend the day exploring the city’s highlights including Sponza Palace and Stradun, the city’s main street. The old town can get very busy during the summer months. (B)
Dubrovnik
A popular excursion from Dubrovnik is to the Bosnian town of Mostar. Devastated by the war with Yugoslavia and Croatia in the 1990s, this enchanting town has now risen from the ashes. The 16th-century bridge is its centrepiece; watch divers leap 29 metres into the Neretva river below. Other day trip options include the nearby Elaphite Islands or Cavtat, a quiet town along the coast. (B)
Dubrovnik
Kotor, Montenegro
This morning travel to Kotor in Montenegro, staying for 4 nights at the Forza Mare, an intimate boutique hotel on the water’s edge. (B)
Kotor
Day at leisure in Kotor to explore the historic town, set on the shores of Europe’s most southern fjord. Founded in the fifth century, Kotor played a key role in the history and development of the region, and was under Venetian rule from 1420 to 1797. Be sure to visit Trg od Oružja (Arms Square) and the Orthodox church. (B)
Kotor
Two further days to explore the region or relax at the hotel. The property has a small spa and private access to a pebble beach. Alternatively, there is the opportunity to explore nearby Budva, the largest town on coast, or venture into the mountainous interior, ideal for hiking and rafting. (B)
