Posada del Hidalgo is a former colonial mansion built by a silver baron in the 18th century. The hotel has 68 air-conditioned rooms. The original bedrooms of the mansion feature old high ceilings with wooden beams and two-storey balconies while the newer part is built around a tropical garden, typical of the old colonial houses. There is a charming open-air restaurant offering Mexican cuisine and a fine selection of Spanish heritage Mexican table wines, as well as a swimming pool and spa.
