San Pedro Sula holidays

San Pedro Sula lies in the north-west of the country, in the Valley of Sula, close to the Merendón mountains and only 1 hour from the coast. A business and industrial centre with an international airport, the city is the second largest in Honduras. The climate is hot and humid and while there is little of interest to detain the traveller, the city is a transportation hub and serves as a gateway to the country with good road connections to the coast, the west and south to Tegucigalpa
