Lake Yojoa holidays

This beautiful lake is the largest in Honduras and is located between San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa. It is bordered on the west by the Santa Barbara National Park and on the east by the Cerro Azul Meambar National Park. Lake Yojoa is a popular fishing destination, while the surrounding area is rich in biodiversity and offers excellent opportunities for bird spotting. More than 400 species of birds have been recorded around the lake and there are regular sightings of quetzals.
