Casa Palopo Atitlan is a beautiful hideaway property, terraced into the hillside, overlooking Lake Atitlan and three magnificent volcanoes. Named after the nearby village, Santa Catarina Palopo, this Relais & Châteaux boutique hotel features beautifully designed interiors with smart contemporary furnishings and art with hints of rich Mayan heritage. Individually designed suites are primarily housed in the main building, each with a warm decor, indigenous artefacts and hand-woven artisan textiles, and featuring a balcony or terrace. There are three additional suites in the villa, which can be booked in its entirety or as individual rooms. The intimate, cosily-lit restaurant opens out onto a terrace providing spectacular views of the lake, where guests can enjoy Guatemalan-inspired cuisine made with ingredients sourced from neighbouring farms.
