Fly to Havana for 2 nights. Explore old Havana including the restored Plaza de Armas, the stately Plaza Vieja and the Revolution Museum, housed in the former presidential palace of 1950s dictator General Batista. (B)
Travel west to the Viñales valley, a traditional tobacco-growing area with beautiful limestone formations. Visit a tobacco farmer's house to learn about the growing and drying process, followed by a boat ride on the river running through the Indian cave. Stay for 2 nights. (B, L)
