Important information AccommodationThis tour features a combination of simple, good standard and superior hotels, and casas particulares, which are simple, private, bed and breakfast-style accommodations that allow for an authentic insight into the Cuban way of life. Cuba combines increasing popularity with very limited good quality hotel options and the properties we use may vary from departure to departure. The specific accommodation for each departure as well as the exact order of your itinerary will be confirmed in your final travel documents.
Travel in CubaWe recommend an extremely flexible approach to booking a holiday and travel in Cuba. The extended Oriente departures are better suited to the hardier traveller due to longer road drives.
*Oriente departuresOn selected dates, the tour continues further through the interior to Santiago de Cuba and provides a rare glimpse into eastern Cuba’s history, culture and mountain scenery. Please click here to view.
Private & tailor-made travelThis itinerary can be taken privately on a date that suits you, for which guideline prices are shown. Alternatively, it can be tailored to your exact requirements. Please call to speak with a Cox & Kings consultant or enquire online.

The Iberostar Parque Central is located within walking distance of all the main sights of Old Havana and is surrounded by numerous celebrated buildings, such as the Capitol, the Garcia Lorca theatre and the Museum of Modern Arts. The main building, decorated in colonial style, offers classic rooms and is connected through an internal passage to a more contemporary tower wing. A choice of Classic or Contemporary room can be requested, but the hotel is unable to confirm a specific room prior to your arrival. Each part features a lobby bar, rooftop swimming pool and a terrace with panoramic views. Dining options include Mediterranean and Italian restaurants and an elegant steak house.
Casas particulares are privately run bed and breakfast-style accommodation; the term covers a range of different properties, from old colonial buildings to rustic and modern local houses, and standards vary widely. Some of the casas particulares do not have names, and are simply referred to by the name of the owners, while others are called 'hostals', the Spanish word for a guesthouse, but all are considered to be casas particulares. The properties feature very simple rooms with en suite facilities, and continental breakfast is included. Cox & Kings works with a selection of casas however, due to the way in which the casa particular programme operates, specific casas cannot be confirmed in advance.
