St Vincent & the Grenadines holidays
Things to do in St Vincent & the Grenadines range from seeing the capital of Kingstown to relaxing on private islands.
Most travellers use St Vincent as a hub, passing through enroute to one of the smaller island. The largest of the islands with black sand beaches, lush forests and banana plantations, its capital is lively Kingstown which offers colonial-era buildings, cobblestoned streets and busy markets, along with the historic Fort Charlotte and the oldest botanic gardens in the western hemisphere. To the north of the island lies the active La Soufriere volcano: appreciate from afar or take a challenging hike up to crater’s edge.
Pronounced ‘beck-way’, Bequia is the northernmost island of the Grenadines, and is home to unforgettable white sand beaches, alongside a relaxed way of life.
Go turtle watching, visit small fishing villages, take a sailing trip or tour of the island, including the pretty little town of Port Elizabeth, packed with shiny white yachts.
This private island promises to take your breath away; it’s a place where the rich and chic come to play, and visiting is as much about enjoying the delights of the island, as it is about people watching. For activities, take to the numerous idyllic beaches, go snorkelling or take and island tour to explore hidden coves. Sit and soak up the atmosphere of the island at Basil’s Bar – a relaxed waterfront bar that has served its share of the rich and famous.
Escape to this private island in the south of the country. Taking up 55-acres, the entire island is a playground paradise for adults – hire bikes and explore the island, go snorkelling in the crystal clear waters, laze in hammocks, walk the island trail and enjoy delectable food. Take your pick from five beaches – some of which you can step out onto straight from your luxurious villa.
The Tobago Cays Marine Park protects a cluster of five uninhabited islands. It features pristine white sand beaches, alongside extensive and well-developed coral reef systems. This blissful location is excellent for snorkelling, and can easily be visited on a day trip.
