The Salt Hotel Cristal Samaña (also known in Spanish as Cristal de Sal) is located on the edge of the salt lake, approximately 30 minutes from Uyuni. This simple yet comfortable hotel is made almost entirely of salt, including the furnishings. The rooms are decorated with elements of Aymara astrology carved in to the salt walls. The restaurant and bar offers panoramic views of the salt lake.
