Escape to an island hideaway
The lesser-visited Raiatea and Taha'a Islands are encircled by one lagoon, but are starkly different. Raiatea has the second biggest city, and, as the birthplace of the Polynesian gods, is known as the ‘Sacred Island’. Taha’a welcomes visitors with the sultry scent of vanilla (as it produces majority of the vanilla in the country), and a lagoon packed full with marine life.
