Freycinet National Park is one of Tasmania’s many natural highlights. With abundant bird and animal life, granite mountains and excellent beaches, including the acclaimed Wineglass Bay, it is nature at its best. The pretty resort and fishing town of Coles Bay, the gateway to the national park, is a great starting point for walks to the white sands and azure waters of lovely Wineglass Bay. You can enjoy freshly caught abalone and lobster and locally farmed oysters and mussels at Freycinet Marine Farm. Other enjoyable options include strolls along one of the signed public walkways, oyster farm tours, sea kayaking, boat cruises to Wineglass Bay and visits to one of the park’s many quiet beaches.
