At the foot of the Elder Range, Arkaba Station dates back to the 1850s and pays homage to the station's rich pastoral heritage in a style that is both rustically chic and exclusive. With just five rooms, the homestead is an oasis of comfort and style amidst a harsh and rugged landscape where guests enjoy a taste of classic Australian country hospitality.
The 5 rooms are comprised of 4 traditional style bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and access to the verandah and The Coachman's Cottage in the corner of the garden which provides a fifth guest room with en-suite. The rooms are air conditioned and have been designed with the homestead's heritage in mind, a mix of king and twin beds have premium mattresses and a choice of pillows. There are no televisions, telephones, mini bars or typical features of a hotel room to distract guests. The focus is on the experience.
During your stay full breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and selected activities are included. Optional activities include 4WD trips, wildlife viewing and sheep station visits. There is a comfortable library with leather armchairs and a large stone fireplace as well as a wet edge pool that overlooks the Arkaba Creek. All meals and selected drinks are included.
