Vundu Camp is an intimate, rustic, owner-run-and-managed bush camp set among riverine forest on the banks of the Zambezi river within the Mana Pools National Park. Seven large en suite tented chalets feature thatched roofs and canvas sides, and offer panoramic river views of the Zambezi and the wildlife-rich Mana floodplains. Communal areas consist of a large double-storey central building, which houses the bar, restaurant and small library, while in front of the building is a large fire pit, lit nightly.
There is a real emphasis on guiding at Vundu and the owners, Nick and Desiree Murray, both hold Zim-Pro guiding status, one of the most respected guiding qualifications in Africa. The camp is well known for its close up walking encounters with wildlife, including wild dogs, elephants and lions, but also offers safari drives within the park and half- or full-day canoe trips along on the Zambezi river.
