Sindabezi Island Camp is located 3 km downstream from Tongabezi Lodge (towards Victoria Falls). It has magnificent views overlooking other islands and the nearby flood plain of the Zambezi National Park. It is a tiny island offering an excellent wildlife experience. The birdlife is outstanding and game is often seen around the island. The five cottages are built from local timber, reed and thatch, each with private views over the Zambezi. All chalets have cold running water, hot bucket showers and flush lavatories. The island is fully staffed and a qualified guide is available to take guests on boat trips or canoeing. There is no electricity here. Inclusive activities are the same as at Tongabezi Main Lodge and include: canoeing; a visit to Victoria Falls; a three-course picnic lunch on a nearby island; a tour of the Livingstone Museum; a visit to the Tongabezi Trust School to spend time with the children there; sunrise and sunset boating; guided walking; fishing; game drives; a visit to Mukuni Village, home to the local Tokaleya people; and a visit to Maramba Market to experience a real slice of Zambian life. Exclusive activities that can be organised from the lodge include a flight over the Victoria Falls; elephant back safaris; a visit to Livingstone Island; a visit to the crocodile and snake park; and golf at Elephant Hills.
