Twiga Safari Lodge is a boutique property set on the banks of the Nile as it forges southwards through Uganda. The lodge comprises eight exclusive cottages nestled opposite the Murchison Falls National Park.
From this position, it’s just a five-minute drive to the Paraa river crossing, which ferries visitors into the country’s largest park. Guests therefore have easy access to all manner of nature-focused activities – boat rides, hikes, sport fishing, bird watching and safari drives.
The lodge’s raised en-suite cottages combine tented rooms with thatched-roofed huts. Guests enjoy modern conveniences including Wi-Fi access and satellite television, while still remaining immersed in the natural surroundings. It’s not uncommon to spot monkeys and colourful birds flitting into the grounds. The on-site restaurant and bar provide local meals and a range of beverages.
