Momella Wildlife Lodge is set on the lower slopes of Mount Meru, between Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro, and within easy reach of Arusha National Park. The lodge used to be the temporary home of John Wayne and Hardy Kruger while filimg the famous movie 'Hatari' in 1960. It is a low budget but comfortable lodge, consisting of thatched-roof cottages with en suite bathrooms, a restaurant and a swimming pool, all set in the lodge's lovely gardens with amazing views of the mountains. Elephants, buffaloes and giraffes are often seen from the lodge.
