Set among the lush forests and mountains of north-western Swaziland, the Phophonyane Falls Ecolodge and Nature Reserve lies within the 600-hectare Phophonyane Nature Reserve, an area of incredible natural beauty, with views of Gobolondo mountain. Crisscrossed by forest paths, the reserve is a wildlife haven for animals such as red duikers and bushbucks with the impressive 80-metre-high Phophonyane falls located nearby.
The lodge offers self-catering cottages, traditional Swazi beehives and safari tent accommodation, set among beautiful tropical gardens fed by a maze of streams. The lodge's Driftwood restaurant, with veranda, is an ideal place to enjoy the wonderful panoramic views with a cocktail, choose from the international and Swazi-influenced à la carte menu and sample the extensive South African wine list. Other lodge facilities include a swimming pool.
Self-guided hikes with good birding and impressive scenery and waterfalls can be organised with the lodge.
