Kariega Game Reserve holidays

Kariega Game Reserve Set high above the spectacular Kariega river valley in the Eastern Cape, this 6,000-hectare private reserve offers abundant wildlife, including the Big Five. The reserve is also home to wild cats, lynx, hyenas, jackals, genets, bushpigs, warthogs, baboons, monkeys, honey badgers and porcupines. Kariega is bordered to the east and west by two magnificent rivers, a delight for birdwatchers who will have the chance to view an a huge variety of birdlife, including the African fish eagle and various species of kingfisher. Kariega is only 80 minutes east of Port Elizabeth, and so makes an ideal beginning or end to a garden route itinerary.
