Superior Private Tour in brief

Day 1: Fly to Cape Town

Fly overnight from London (regional connections available) to Cape Town. (N)

Day 2: Cape Town

On arrival, you will be met by our VIP meet and greet service before transferring to the Trevoyan Guesthouse for a 3-night stay. Afternoon at leisure. (N)

Day 3: Cape Town

At leisure to explore or take part in optional excursions. Popular choices include visits to Robben Island, Table Mountain and local townships. We also offer an intriguing ‘Prisoner to President’ tour, where you can delve into the history of Nelson Mandela’s momentous time in the city. (B)

Day 4: Cape Town

Your premium package category B car hire will be delivered in the morning and you then have the rest of the day at leisure to explore the city’s surrounds. The Cape of Good Hope and the penguin colony of Boulders Beach are both within easy reach and together make for an excellent day out. (B)

Day 5: Winelands

Drive to the picturesque Winelands and stay 2 nights at the charming Angala Boutique Hotel & Guest House. (B)

Day 6: Winelands

At leisure to relax or take part in some of the many wine tasting and culinary experiences on offer in this fabulously scenic region. (B)

Day 7: Oudtshoorn

Drive to Oudtshoorn and stay overnight at Surval Boutique Olive Estate. Oudtshoorn, known as ‘the feather capital’, is set in the picturesque semi-desert region of the Little Karoo. Popular visits from Oudtshoorn include the dramatic Cango Caves and a local ostrich farm. (B)

Day 8: The Garden Route

You may wish to rise early and join an optional meerkat viewing excursion, before driving east to Christiana Lodge, near Plettenburg Bay, where you will stay for 3 nights. (B)

Days 9-10: The Garden Route

Days at leisure to explore the Garden Route’s stretch of picture-postcard beaches, lakes, rivers, indigenous forests and impressive mountain passes. Other activities include boat trips to spot whales and dolphins around Plettenburg Bay. (B)

Day 11: Eastern Cape

Continue east to Port Elizabeth, where you will drop off your hire car before transferring to Woodbury Lodge in the Amakhala Private Game Reserve for a 2-night stay. (B, D)

Day 12: Amakhala Game Reserve

The malaria-free Amakhala Game Reserve offers world-class ‘Big Five’ safari experiences and with wildlife drives and bush walks both included in your lodge accommodation, this is the perfect way to cap any Garden Route itinerary. (B, L, D)

Days 13-14: Fly home via Johannesburg

Transfer to Port Elizabeth Airport and fly home via Johannesburg. (B) (N)
