Read moreThe Sabi Sands Game Reserve is undoubtedly the most exclusive private wildlife reserve in South Africa and is located on the south-west corner of the Kruger National Park, forming part of the Greater Kruger Park. No restricting fences exist between the Kruger National Park and the Sabi Sands so the animals can therefore roam freely across the Kruger into the Sabi Sands reserve and vice versa. Within the reserve there are a number of accommodation options from luxury lodges to tented camps offering a variety of experiences from spa treatments and fine dining to safari drives and walking safaris.

This spectacular one-hour helicopter ride starts in Hazyview and follows the Sabi river valley along the edge of the escarpment. You will fly over the 30-metre-high Pinnacle, a weathered column of freestanding sandstone rising above the tangle of indigenous forest. Have your camera ready as you linger over the breathtaking Lisbon, Berlin and Mac Mac falls, before continuing along the escarpment to God's Window, where you will be treated to one of the finest views of the beautiful Mpumalanga lowveld. This helicopter ride can be done from any of the &Beyond Lodges in Sabi Sands reserve including &Beyond Exeter River Lodge, &Beyond Krikman's Kamp and &Beyond Leadwood Lodge, as well as from Hazyview itself.
