Port Elizabeth holidays

Located on the south eastern coast of Africa, Port Elizabeth is set along the beautiful shores of Algoa Bay, and is often referred to as the ‘Friendly City’. The area has a lovely climate, with moderate temperatures all year round – the summers are warm and the winters are mild and pleasant. The city offers an excellent mix of eco-attractions, scenic nature trails, wildlife experiences, long golden beaches and historic buildings. During a stay in Port Elizabeth possible activities include the Oceanarium, No 7 Castle Hill Museum, day tours to the Eastern Cape game reserves and the Apple Express Steam Train. Alternatively, follow in the footsteps of the 1820 settlers on their journey of discovery and settlement along the Historic Donkin Heritage trail. This 5 km trail visits 47 historical sites and architectural delights in the Old Hill area of central Port Elizabeth. Visit beautiful parks with well-landscaped gardens such as St Georges Park and Settler’s Park, which is home to beautiful flora and fauna. For those seeking more ‘Las Vegas’-style entertainments there is the Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment world, which includes Victorian-style facades, an oriental village, the Tivoli Gardens, which at night are illuminated by thousands of lights, and an amphitheatre that presents many performances ranging from musical concerts and jazz to traditional African dance groups and theatrical productions.
