Stellenbosch holidays

Stellenbosch is a vibrant university town at the heart of South Africa’s wine industry. It is rich in history and culture with classic buildings, architectural heritage, art galleries and museums. Home to 106 cellars in and around the town (most of which are open to the public), Stellenbosch is a wine-lover’s paradise. Within 25 minutes’ drive of Stellenbosch are 30 golf courses so the area is also a great base for golf enthusiasts. There is always something happening in Stellenbosch from wine festivals and food markets to organised nature walks and theatre productions. It is a great family destination where you can visit butterfly world, Le Bonheur crocodile farm and even the Giraffe House Wildlife Awareness Centre, a new centre offering you the chance to experience and learn about African wildlife and conservation. Stellenbosch offers both modern and traditional shops as well as arts and crafts. Selected wine merchants offer delivery and export services and you will also find charming country shops and farm stalls where you can purchase anything from fresh fruit to traditional South African preserves.
