Three Trees at Spioenkop is a colonial Natal farmhouse capturing a turn-of-the-century ambiance with haunting memorabilia and an old-world charm. Overlooking the spectacular secluded valley of the Spioenkop Game Reserve, the expanses of pristine game-rich wilderness provides the perfect base to discover the history of bygone battlefields and Anglo-Boer sites. Spioenkop is arguably the most famous of all battles between the British and the Boers. 7 rooms and a cottage each with private decks are tastefully furnished with locally made linens and feature antique sash windows, wood panelling and corrugated iron exteriors. The main areas offer comfortable sofas where you can immerse yourself in the history of the region. Communal meals are serviced on wrap-around verandas, or indoors around a warm blazing fire in cooler months. A swimming pool and deck boast stunning views towards the Drakensberg Mountains.
