Located in the Sabi Sands bordering the Kruger National Park, Sabi Sabi has provided one of the most luxurious safari experiences since 1979. It is a wildlife oasis, where lions, leopards, rhinos, buffaloes, elephants, cheetahs, wild dogs and 200 other animal species roam freely and it is also home to a remarkable 350 species of birds. Sabi Sabi is a one-hour flight or a five-hour scenice drive from Johannesburg. Alternatively, you can fly or drive from Kruger Mpumalanga International airport.
Bush Lodge has been Sabi Sabi's flagship lodge for decades. A favourite with safari guests, its 25 luxury suites are set around a waterhole and feature warm African textures and rich wooden furnishings. Each suite has a large lounge, a spacious bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower and a large deck overlooking the bushveld, ideal for birdwatching. The Mandleve suite is ultra-luxury and ideal for honeymooners or those seeking privacy as it has a secluded pool and in-room dining - and private safari experiences can be arranged.
Meals are taken in the open-air boma and the Amani Spa at Bush Lodge is the perfect place to rest or indulge in a rejuvenating massage treatment. Day and evening safaris following the animals on and off-road in open Land Rovers, led by highly trained game rangers and qualified trackers are available, as are walking safaris, which allow guests to get closer to the plants and animals that are often missed when traversing the area by Land Rover.
