Rorke’s Drift Hotel
Beautifully situated at the base of Sinqindi Mountain in KwaZulu-Natal, Rorke’s Drift Lodge overlooks the battlefields of Rorke’s Drift and Isandlwana, the first significant battles of the Anglo-Zulu War. The lodge is located 45 minutes from Dundee, and Nqutu can be reached in less than 30 minutes on good gravel roads. Accommodation is in secluded, self-contained units set within an expansive garden on a 1,000-acre estate alive with wildlife and birdlife. The spacious units feature a lounge and dining area with a kitchenette, as well as private outdoor decking. Guests can prepare their own feasts at a private braai area, or relax in the lounge bar in the main building overlooking the Buffalo River. Guests have the choice of catering for themselves or ordering meals from the lodge kitchens; all meals are served in the guests’ own units. A personal lodge assistant will be on call for the duration of your stay and will service and restock your unit twice a day.
