With a colourful political and economic past it has now been extensively modernised and upgraded to offer world-class sophistication, grace and charm. Rodwell is just 10 minutes drive to top vineyards and lovely restaurants and only 20 minutes from either Cape Town's city centre or Cape Point in the Table Mountain National Park.
Luxuriate in calm, modern and sophisticated open-plan suites offering unrivalled space, comfort and privacy. All have large windows to maximise the stunning views of the mountain or ocean. Within the house there are many wide terraces and public rooms to relax in including a formal drawing room, romantic dining room, library, sunroom, informal lounge, bar, wine cellar and tasting room. Outside is a magnificent sea-facing terrace with BBQ facilities and gardens filled with indigenous plants, comfortable loungers around the swimming pool and a shady gazebo.
Known as millionaire's mile, False Bay is world famous for whale watching and is a fantastic place to see these creatures between mid July and early December. You may like to wander down the coastal boardwalk or see the extravagant homes of millionaire's mile. Alternatively exchange banter with the locals or visit the historic battle of Muizenberg site. It is also possible to follow a nature reserve trail along the mountain to see small game and colourful bird life. Dalebrooke's tidal rock pools, a world heritage site, can also be seen. Kalk Bay village is also close, where you can browse the local shops or visit a café and watch the hustle and bustle of life in a working fishing harbour.
