Drive through the less explored western sector of Etosha National Park, stopping en route at the prolific waterholes. Drive south to Okonjima Plains Camp. Okonjima is home to a variety of animals rescued by the AfriCat Foundation. Okonjima Plains Camp (formerly Okonjima Main Camp) has 24 very comfortable and spacious rooms plus six entry level garden rooms. There are two secluded swimming pools surrounded by beautiful gardens and an on-site water hole where a variety of birds and animals may be encountered. This area is the best place in Namibia (and probably the world) to view and learn about the conservation of cheetahs and leopards. Additional facilities include an outside fireplace, a restaurant and bar.
