Oman & Zanzibar

Private Travel | General interest 12 Days & 10 Nights Lead-in price: £3995 Current prices from: £3995
For 200 years, Zanzibar, now Tanzania, was under the control of the Sultanate of Oman, becoming a principal centre for the ivory and slave trade in the mid-19th century. Its importance was such that the Omani capital was moved there from Muscat. This 12-day itinerary travels to Stone Town in Zanzibar to retrace the legacy of Omani rule, before continuing to Oman to explore today’s capital city of Muscat, picturesque fishing villages along the coast, the desert dunes of Sharqiya Sands, and Nizwa on the edge of the Hajar mountains.

The Cox & Kings signature experiences

  • Spend 4 nights in Zanzibar
  • Comprehensive city tours of both Stone Town & Muscat
  • Visit the green turtle nesting site at Ras Al Jinz beach
  • Overnight at a desert camp in Sharqiya Sands
