Located in the Wuparo conservancy and close to both Mudumu and Mamili National parks, Nkasa Lupala Tented Lodge is set on the banks of one of the many channels of the Kwando-Linyanti river system. As an award winning eco-lodge it blends in with the surrounding environment, was built using locally sourced materials and is completely energy self-sufficient for electricity and water, which is heated by using solar panels. Accommodation is in tented rooms built on stilts, all with wooden floors and with en suite facilities. Activities include wildlife drives, boat cruise around the wetlands, village visits, walking safaris and night drives. Sightings on the wildlife drives can include elephant, buffalo, hippo, lion, leopard, impala, kudu, zebra, wildebeest, rare wetland species such as lechwe, sitatunga and reed buck and a variety of different birdlife.
