Etendeka Mountain Camp is set amid the dramatic scenery created by ancient lava flows. Simple, wholesome meals are prepared and enjoyed under the African skies. Days here are spent exploring the stunning scenery and wildlife on foot and in open vehicles with extremely knowledgeable guides, Bonnie and Dennis, who can be quizzed on anything from rhino poaching, animal spoor and 'pronking', to the incredible flat-topped, basalt mountains, covered in colourful quartz crystals. Wildlife includes desert-adapted elephants and rhinos, Hartmann's mountain zebras, oryx and kudus. Features: Lounge, dining room, bar, small plunge pool, Wi-Fi. Room amenities: 11 tents with lavatory and open-air bucket showers.
