Erongo Wilderness Lodge is situated among the granite outcrops of the Erongo Mountains, within the Erongo Mountain Nature Conservancy, which hosts an incredible diversity of plant and animal species. The 10 luxury tented chalets, with overhanging thatched roofs, are built on stilts to merge with the surrounding environment. Secluded among the rocks, boulders and vegetation, the chalets are accessed by a system of raised wooden walkways and stone steps, lit by small brass lamps at night. The fully serviced tree house is one of the lodge's exclusive attractions. Rooms are equipped with mosquito netting and the bathrooms have showers only. An on-site restaurant, built on a granite outcrop, offers panoramic views and also overlooks the nearby waterhole, which attracts a range of local wildlife.
This wealth of natural and cultural history can be enjoyed by joining a guided nature drive, visiting one of the Bushman rock art sites, or walking among the mountains with one of our knowledgeable guides. Make the experience a more personal one by simply exploring on your own, or just soaking up the atmosphere from the private deck of your tent.
