Eulophiella Forest Lodge is located to the south of the national park and is named after an orchid that is found in the area. It is a simple, charming, rustic lodge, consisting of bungalows set in spacious and beautiful palm gardens. The thatched Ascendant Bungalows are built from local wood and are simple but comfortable, while the superior Parfums d’Orangers Bungalows are brick-built and offer more space and a wrap-around veranda where you can sit out and soak up the sun or look out for the wonderful wildlife including the indri, Madagascar’s largest lemur, as well as red-bellied lemurs and diademed sifakas. There is also some fantastic birding here. The restaurant serves a combination of Malagasy and French cuisine, prepared with fresh ingredients, and you can dine inside or alfresco on the balcony and enjoy the tranquil views out across the garden.
