Les Dunes d’Ifaty

With its charming boutique style and superb location next to the ocean, spiny forest and baobab trees, Les Dunes d’Ifaty is a calming tropical retreat near the village of Ifaty. Built in a traditional style using local materials, the 19 villas and 22 rooms are set amid six hectares of tropical flora and indigenous plants. All of the rooms have a Creole-inspired design, are equipped with a range of amenities and have views of the Mozambique Channel or the well-kept gardens.

The main building has a library, a bar, a restaurant and an outdoor patio area that serves as an extension to the restaurant, where guests can dine on international cuisine, seasonal specialities, seafood and locally inspired dishes. The large swimming pool is also a great place to relax and unwind. Excursions available from the hotel include snorkelling to view the coral reef, whale watching (in season) and excursions into the baobab forest.
